My name is Prosper Magali, an Electrical Engineer and Renewable Energy Expert. I have been involved in the sector for the past 12 years. The renewable energy industry in Tanzania has quite developed during the period. Through different efforts employed by the government and various players, renewable energy technologies are now being used in different applications. From giving light to households, schools, health facilities and businesses, to water pumping, hot water systems, efficient cooking, running small industries and many more. Renewable energy technologies are currently being used in all walks of life in Tanzania.

The big story now is to use these technologies to generate power that can be fed into the national grid. Already there have been initiatives done by the government to create the environment for this and various players have now come aboard to ensure that renewable energy becomes one the important energy contributors in Tanzania.

This blog has been created for the purpose of sharing all these stories with the general public. We will be traveling all over Tanzania to find any related story and share it with the public. Stories of new installations, an achievement made, an impact created, all will be publicized here. We will receive updates, news, market or product development/launch from all players in the renewable energy industry and share it here. We will immediately communicate market trends, change of different policies, new legislation, etc to the public and stakeholders. Importantly, we will receive your comments and contributions related to renewable energy sector. Our aim is to make this blog the source of information, data, knowledge and expertise on renewable energy issues.

Our policy is never to discriminate. We will receive and air all the stories we get free of charge, indiscriminately while adhering to all ethics and professionalism.

Send all your stories, photos, etc via renewablesenergy96@gmail.com

To close the gap between urban and rural areas, and help rural villages develop, more is required beyond simply turning on a light bulb. New and appropriate innovations combined with new business models are required to address the issues and barriers that hinder rural areas from developing from one stage to the next. Solaric is now at the forefront of providing new technology and innovative business models that has now made it possible for rural areas to urbanize and is closing the gap between developed and rural areas.
